Marie’s work in streamlining our accounting and bookkeeping process has enabled me to focus more fully on the other important tasks and responsibilities in my role as administration manager.

During the last 12-years, Marie has provided assistance and guidance on our funding accountability requirements with respect to financial and audit accountability reporting at all levels of government along with providing financial and audit reports for other statutory authorities such as a three year project funding. She has played an important role in assisting the Board in maintaining the financial viability and accountability of the Service.

Marie is responsible for preparation of our service’s salary and operating budgets, along with preparing budgets for various funding submissions. She liaises regularly with myself and our treasurer and provides easily decipherable and detailed monthly financial reports for our board of management which is crucial to their governance responsibilities. The legal service has been operating in the local area for over 43 years and since engaging the services of JFC Accounting Professionals, our financial accounting system has improved and become much more efficient and streamlined. We are pleased to have moved to an online service with QuickBooks where we can access our data from any computer around the world and be assured of secure offsite storage of our financial records.  This has given us the option of accessing our accounting system remotely and increased the flexibility of the financial reporting.
